( Uhm no. He showed up in one of my dreams with his stupid baby face and fishing rod. )

( Noct loves fishing. Was he still like... old? )

( I have noticed that he probably likes fishing. I don't like fishing. He was like seventeen or something, it was weird and gross. )

( He loves it. He could fish for hours. Why was it gross? Kinda miss being seventeen again... )

( I don't. Being a teenager was a bad time. I have students that age now. So I'd rather my remaining broodmate be a fuckin' adult I can actually talk to instead of some kid. )

( And I mean, fair enough. Teenagers are scary. Zooming from twenty to thirty without any in-between is something I'd kill to have reversed though. Kinda sucks we're not broodmates? But, hey. You known him for a while now? This dorky loser of ours. )

[ It surprises her, that he's so quick to include her in the ownership of that dorky loser. She kind of thought she'd have to fight over it, be protective, petty, jealous. Huh. Maybe Prompto does get along with everyone. ]

( I was raised in a... military academy, kind of. Long story. When management turned over I became headmistress. And sometimes I teach stuff. Art and fighting mostly. )

[ She misses her school. Her students. Her new life. ]

( Noctis and I woke up together. It's been a time. )

[ He lives inside of her. In a dream he'd given her a token of himself, and there's no scrubbing it out. His lure hooked in her, and she too stupid to shake it off.

So for all that Noctis and Prompto are connected, a thread of it inevitably reaches her. ]

( Does he still sleep a lot? I think I'd be drowsy if I were connected to his headspace, to be honest. )

[it's... kind of strange. he knows he isn't noctis's only friend, if ignis and gladiolus are anything to go by. but still, it was clear they had roles; the shield, the advisor, the best friend. he isn't sure what to make of someone outside of that limited and small group of friends the once-crown prince of lucis had.]

[what's their friendship like?]

( Art and fighting, huh? Mmm... seems like a good balance. Draw much? I'm into photography. Been into it a while. )

( He sleeps a ton, it comes in handy sometimes. He keeps my nightmares off everybody else. He and Nyx used to shield me a lot more. )

[ Because she's not very good at shielding herself. ]

( I draw, I paint, I sculpt, whatever. )

[ It was something she needed, some kind of physical activity to expel the nasty shit that stirred around in her head. ]

[his best friend knows what he's doing most of the time, and prompto's not going to barge in and demand whether he can handle these nightmares or not. they're men!!]

( Turns out Nyx is a pretty popular name around here. You done some art as of late? )

( It's not, don't be a bimbo. Nyx was in our brood. I know he's from your world too. He showed it to me. I saw the war and all that shit. Was close with him too. )
